Hyundai jumps the gun on cash for clunkers
LOS ANGELES -- Hyundai is getting an early start on the government's cash-for-clunkers program, which pays people to scrap their old cars and buy new, fuel-efficient ones.
Though the program rules won't be issued for another 10 days or so, Hyundai will front dealers the cash rebates until the government starts its electronic payment system.

Honda wagon-van is new entry in a segment still seeking sales
LOS ANGELES — Honda's Accord Crosstour, coming this fall, will be the industry's latest attempt to succeed with a body style that has had trouble gaining traction with shoppers.
The Crosstour follows the Toyota Venza, Mercedes-Benz R class and Chrysler Pacifica among vehicles that are not quite a wagon, not quite a minivan and not quite a crossover.
